The branch the company started from

Eagle Overhead Door is based in Arcola, and this is where the business runs from. The Estevan and Regina branches grew out of it, which is why our coverage spreads across the southeast rather than radiating from one city.

Arcola sits on Highway 13, the Red Coat Trail, in the RM of Brock, with the Moose Mountain upland rising to the east. It was incorporated in 1901 and is a designated heritage town. The 1905 Town Hall and Opera House and the 1911 Land Titles Building are still standing, and so are a lot of the houses from that era, with garages and shops added to them over the decades since.

Arcola is the base for the agricultural side of the work, and that is a genuine speciality rather than something we take on reluctantly. The country around Arcola is Palliser’s Triangle grain and cattle land, canola, wheat, lentils and ranching, and the buildings that go with it are large. Agricultural doors are a different problem from residential ones. The openings are much larger, the buildings are frequently older and out of square, and the door has to deal with equipment traffic, wind loading and whatever the weather is doing. On an older building we measure the opening as it actually is, because a door ordered to the size the building was supposed to be is a problem that only shows up on installation day.
